SURFACE:  Natural linen ground with clearly visible warp-and-weft weave and a slightly irregular hand-hemmed edge. Every form is real thread - satin-stitch fills with directional sheen, chain-stitch outlines, French knots, couched metallic gold thread, visible needle holes, slight fabric puckering where the stitching pulls, a couple of loose thread ends. Palette - undyed linen, indigo, madder red, olive, ochre, one metallic gold thread. Soft raking light so thread relief casts micro-shadows. Hero - one embroidered emblem — a tree-of-life / loom structure with three stitched roundels worked into it, each roundel carrying a plain stitched field (embroidered dark-thread words ONLY when the page's TEXT provides that label).
