Gilt Leather

Gilt Leather

Bookbindingtooledgold-foilbindingembossed

Tooled leather with gold foil — an embossed antique binding.

Swatch shows the same line — Signal over noise — rendered in this material, so the surface is the only variable.

Prompt formula

SURFACE: Full-grain oxblood leather with real pore texture, gentle sheen, scuffing and darker patina at the corners. All decoration is blind-tooled and hot-foil stamped by hand — the gold foil is slightly uneven with small breaks, skips and shine variation, and every stamp sits in a visible deboss with a soft shadow lip. Raised binding bands, a debossed double-rule border, a thin strip of marbled endpaper along one margin. Palette - deep oxblood, antique gold (#C9A227), one dark forest-green leather onlay. Hero - a single tooled central device on the leather — a crest built around a compass rose with three gold-stamped medallions inset, each medallion carrying its label struck in gold. Title hot-stamped large in gold, pressed deep enough to see the leather compress at the stroke edges.
SKELETON: auto by page role (cover / chapter / list / compare)
DEVICE: the page's argument drawn as a form native to this material
END: Full-bleed 16:9 — render DEVICE on the SURFACE, per the page's composition.
CRITICAL: title in clean legible English; NEVER invent extra words or non-English glyphs;
annotations only as marks / numbers / dimension lines; no UI, no cards, no captions.
