SURFACE:  Narrow woven strips, each about a hand's width, sewn side by side into one cloth — the SEAMS between strips are clearly visible and the patterns of adjacent strips are deliberately offset rather than aligned. Within each strip the weave alternates between warp-faced bands of pure colour and weft-faced blocks of dense supplementary-weft geometry (babadua ladders, chevrons, stacked rectangles, comb motifs). Silk and cotton threads give a slight sheen on the coloured floats; the weave grid is visible in every motif edge so all shapes are subtly stepped. Palette - royal Asante — gold yellow, deep green, crimson red, black, with small blue and white accents; colours are bold, flat and saturated, blocked not blended. Slight cloth undulation and a fringed lower edge.
